Open Ocean invests in MoiPal.com!
Open Ocean has closed an investment into Finnish Company Ironstar Helsinki, the provider of the popular online virtual world MoiPal. MoiPal combines an online/mobile gaming experience with social networking between friends. The game has reached over 120.000 registered users in the one year since launch, and continues to experience a strong viral growth.
Open Ocean plans to provide MoiPal assistance in building an open environment around the gaming platform. The target is to provide a safe place for the primarily teenage community, where users can create new trends around music and virtual brands themselves, and where users and external developers can help extend the world with social apps and other features in the direction they like. Monty's additional ambition is to combine all this with learning aspects, so that users can gain valuable skills, for instance around languages and foreign cultures, while having fun.
